Why healthy Eating Is So Good for Hypermobility Syndrome Sufferers

So, we all know that eating healthily is good for us. We hear it adequate times. It's something we 'should' do. But I want to give you a personal take; make it real to you. I want you to know how much of a difference eating healthily has made to me as a Hypermobility Syndrome (Hms) sufferer and I want to give you some tips on how you can start to feel this condition and vitality in your own life.

Let's look at the facts first:

Why eating healthily is particularly good for Hms sufferers:

• When our body is clean on the inside we are healthier on the outside.

Our organs of detoxification, together with the liver and the kidneys, work 24/7 to keep our bodies clean. The more we eat natural food the less they have to work. This is great for two reasons: 1 - we look and feel better; 2 - our detoxification theory can then spend its time doing internal 'housework' making sure every part of our body functions the very best it can. This means our joints can be kept healthy and recover from injury more quickly.

• Eating healthily can satisfy us with fewer calories.

The more healthily we eat the more weight we'll drop. That's great for general condition but also nothing else but prominent for us Hms sufferers.

• Fresh food delivers us vitamins and minerals in plentifulness in a way that processed food cannot.

It's very easy to be over-fed yet under-nourished when we eat a lot of processed food. If we enjoy plentiful fruit and vegetables we'll be ensuring we deliver capability to our bodies. Vitamins and minerals are essential to ensure optimal condition and functioning of our joints, tissues, bones and muscles.

• Eating more fresh fruit and vegetables, particularly greens can improve our digestion.

It's all about having the right level of hydrochloric acid in your tummy - have a look at the writing of Victoria Boutenko for the details. Having productive digestion is not just something that means we feel great - it also ensures we suck in more of the goodness from the food that we do eat. A duplicate whammy!

• Because our body is working less, we have more energy.

We look great and we feel great - a great way to make sure we are experiencing life in the best inherent way we can at any given time.

• Because we have more energy and look better, we feel better. I know how easy it is to feel down when you have Hms. Feeling brighter on a daily basis and being happier when we look in the mirror are two all-important factors when it comes to feeling great every day.

• We have less allergic response.

There are many, less healthy, foodstuffs that can cause allergies. (You can find out about the more coarse of these - wheat and dairy - by googling them or reading an author like Patrick Holford.) Allergies do not just show up as skin or breathing problems, they also clog up all the processes of our bodies, along with lowering our condition and vitality generally. If we give our body a break from these we can function at a much more healthy level.

• The body was designed for the natural sugar in fruit.

Eating less processed sugar and replacing it with natural sugar puts so much less stress on the body. Our theory was not meant deal with processed sugar and getting it cleaned out of the body day in day out nothing else but takes its toll. Noticed how you get more spots when you eat a lot of chocolate? It's because the skin is an organ of detoxification and if the other organs in the body that clear unnatural foodstuffs are over-loaded then the toxins will be pushed out through your skin.

• Natural water without having to remember to carry a bottle with you everywhere!

Our bodies need water to function properly. Without it, all our vital systems lack oxygen and just can't work properly. It affects our joints, muscles and connective tissues too - all those things that we want to keep in the best state possible. If we eat more fruit and vegetables we'll get water in its natural state - packaged inside some beautifully sweet-tasting fruit!

Now possibly you are asking: "How does she know all this?" Well, that's because eating healthily has nothing else but changed my life.

I had my hypermobility diagnosed in 2008, but I'd been suffering for many years; Rsi making my scholastic life hell, lower back problems putting me out of performance over and over again while neck and shoulder problems plagued me from a very early age.

2008 was the worst I'd been. A qoute with my neck and shoulder was so bad I had to leave the policy of study I was on. I couldn't hold my head up for long without muscle spasm and massive pain. I spent months in bed and became very depressed.

After what was a very long, dark time I was ultimately diagnosed with Eds and got to work with a great physiotherapist.

I decided that I wanted to do everything I could to improve my health. I started researching diet and was amazed at what I found. I learnt about how many of the food stuffs we take as general (e.g. Bread, milk, soy) can be highly allergenic. I learnt how our body is permanently detoxifying, and how, if we put unnatural substances into it, it has to work nothing else but to get rid of them. I learnt how many of the animal products we eat are full of chemicals and hormones that have been routinely used to treat the animals. I learnt how natural, raw foods are not only choc full of vitamins and minerals, but also contain enzymes which make them easier to suck in than processed food. I learnt how greens are a wonder food - not only providing minerals in abundance, but also nothing else but improving the way our body digests.

There are plentifulness of resources, freely ready online, written by doctors and enthusiasts alike, which provide evidence and sense to champion healthy eating.

I decided to come to be my own tester. It's straightforward and cheap - I'd recommend giving it a go! 'Try on' a healthy diet for a few meals, a few days and see what it does for you. I did just that and I've never looked back.

I started to make changes to the way I ate. I cut down on the estimate of animal furnish and included a lot more fruit and vegetables. I found not only did I love it, but I felt and looked so much healthier. Without trying, I lost weight I never notion I'd lose, my skin cleared up and my eyes started to sparkle. I had more energy and slept better. I got ill with colds and passing bugs much less frequently. Importantly, along with the physiotherapy, the state of my joints and muscles improved. They hurt less often and with less intensity, and when I had a setback it was shorter and I healed more quickly.

I was so sold that I prolonged to work on my diet. I now eat a diet very high in fresh fruit and vegetables. I don't eat any animal furnish and I don't cook my food.

You might think this is extreme, but, boy, it works for me! I feel the best I have ever done. I haven't had a cold for over 2 years. I love the shape of my body. Even better, I love the food I am eating. Our taste buds are amazingly flexible. They adjust to new flavours very easily. For example, once I took processed sugar out of my diet I nothing else but started to taste the sweetness of natural produce. Now I can get my sugar kick from apples, oranges, pineapple and mango with no guilt!

Importantly, my hypermobility has improved immeasurably - I couldn't even pick up a book two years ago and was in constant pain, now I frequently walk home from the shops with several shopping bags. I can exercise, engage in most pursuits and live relatively normally. A lot of this success is due to my astounding physiotherapist and my own determination to strengthen, but I don't doubt that a great part of my recovery has been due to my dietary changes.

My improved condition and increased vitality has sky-rocketed my self belief and general happiness. I've had the belief to be able to start pursuing the things I've always wanted to - I'm much more creative in my daily life and I've even moved to a separate country, something I'd wanted to do from a very young age!

Who knows what it could do for you?

It's super easy and tasty to 'healthify' your diet. How about trying a fruit smoothie? They are easy to make with a quarterly blender.

So, if you've got a blender get it out of the cupboard. Put it on the work covering in your kitchen. Then it's there, ready to make you beautiful fruit-based smoothies that your body will thank you for every day - loads of vitamins and minerals and natural hydration. If you're up for it add some greens too - they'll make it a wicked colour and you'll send your mineral quota shooting up for the day.

Try this method for size:

• Get two nothing else but ripe pears. Quarter them and take off the cores. Then dice them approximately and put them in your blender. Pop the lid on the blender and pulse the blades until the pear is liquid.

• Chop a third of a medium cucumber and add in with the pears. Do the same thing with the pulse button to liquidise the cucumber.

• Take two large handfuls of spinach and add them to the blender. Blend again until the spinach is incorporated and you have a nice flat liquid.

• Pour all this into a glass and sit back and enjoy the taste!

I'm here to share you my top ten tips to lose weight healthily and make sure those pounds are gone for good!

Before I start blubbering, I want to emphasize one foremost thing that I have learnt from my many failures trying to lose weight. There is plainly No such thing as losing 10 lbs of weight in a week while you are on a wholesome diet. Now, now, don't let it disappoint you. I'm only saying it so that you won't give up when you see oh-not-so-dramatic results in your first week following my tips below. But, what I can guarantee is that you will definitely lose weight gently but consistently while maintaining your fitness. I've tried and succeeded. I have gone from 170 lbs to 112 lbs in nine months! These following tips have helped me perform my dream body and here's hoping that they will help you too!

Tip whole 1: all the time look at the calories!

When you go grocery shopping or when you pick up something to eat, all the time look at the calories per serving. Keep track of the calories intake per day. If the calorie intake exceeds those burned, you'll get excess fat (old story, I know). It's a good rule of thumb that you should have 1500 to 2000 calories per day. Some habitancy reduce their calorie intake to 900 and trust me, I have tried that way before and it never lasted over a week for me. I got fatigue and even depression while I was on that calories-strip-down diet. Don't do that if you want to go healthy. But, holding track of your calories intake is a good way to adjust your diet and lose weight. Take consideration of it, but don't be obsessed with it.

Tip whole 2: Have a Big bowl of raw Veggies Salads and a Big glass of water before each meal!

Just put anyone raw vegetables you can think of, of policy except those which are very sugary or starchy like potato, into a big bowl. Add a low calorie dressing and there you get it, your appetizer! Yes, you heard it right, no crackers and none of your so tasty dressings! It's as uncomplicated as that! Then have a lot of water before each meal. The purpose is to make you feel satisfied and have a fuller tummy!

Tip whole 3: Eat gently and eat less!

Let's put it this way. When you eat fast, your stomach is so busy chewing on the food that it doesn't get time to send signals to the brain to tell you that you're de facto very full! So, eat slowly, give your stomach to process and let yourself know that you've had enough. And, reduce your general whole of meal itsybitsy by little. See if you can cope it. But for me, after that bowl of salads and water, I can just only eat half of my general meal and of course, it means weight loss.

Tip whole 4: Eat small meals frequently!

If you're thinking about skipping morning meal or refusing dinner, Don'T. It is bad for your body mechanism and your stomach. Eat less, eat frequently, have more salads and drink more water. Then you'll be fine.

Tip whole 5: Have apples or oranges for your dessert!

It is pretty clear by now that you just can't have cheese cake or cookies for your after-dinner dessert. But, also don't resort to high calorie fruits like bananas. Instead have fruits that can give you a lot of vitamin C and other nutrients like apples or oranges (and their friends, like clementine)! Vitamin C can help you burn fat faster while you're doing general activities and it's a wholesome way to lose weight.

Tip whole 6: Say No to Soda!

If you have a habit of having sodas while watching Tv or working, it's time to turn it. Sodas are bad your dental and physical condition and make you gain weight. So, just give up on sodas. plainly replace it with water. Actually, having 5 liters of water a day can help you lose weight very fast and hey, it's healthy!

Tip whole 7: Snacks for a quick bite? No!

It's de facto comfy to sit on the couch, watch your popular Tv show and have your hand inside that potato chips bowl. Mars bars, snickers, chocolate, cookies, you name it, they are all troublemakers for your weight loss campaign! The best thing to do while watching Tv? Stand up once in a while, stretch your arms and legs, you can even do some light practice to help you lose weight faster!

Tip whole 8: Walk Walk Walk more!

Don't just Drive to your work, to the school, to the park, to the supermarket, and to your backyard! Whenever you have to go to somewhere which is within your walking distance, just walk. Give your car a rest. Twenty minutes of walking everyday can give a titanic boost to losing your weight fast. Walking burns calories fast and help you lose excess fat even! So, even if you can't go to gym and train seriously, just take advantage of your daily disposition and walk more.

Tip whole 9: No Fast Food please!

I know how tempting it is to just eat surface instead of painstakingly making ready a wholesome meal at home. I'm sorry to break it to you but eating fast food is like saying welcome to those extra pounds. Even if you have to dine outside, choose from the menus carefully so that you eat the right food, low calorie food and replace the usual coke with lemon spiced water. It can save you a lot of calories and help you lose weight.

Tip whole 10: Be Consistent!

This is my last tip but it's probably the key to lose weight successfully. Sometimes, you will think that starving yourself for a couple of days can speed up the weight loss process. It's a big mistake. I did it a couple of times on silly impulses and it turned out de facto bad. I went starving, and then when I couldn't hold it together anymore, I devoured food like crazy only to gain those die-hard pounds again. All I got myself into was a vicious cycle! So, don't even think about starving yourself. Be consistent in your approach. If you want to lose weight permanently, you have to be consistent in your diet plan.

I know that it's only 10 tips and they may already look like daunting tasks to you. If you need more facts regarding the calorie intake and the types of food to help you lose weight faster, there is an online diet agenda that outlines the best ways to lose weight permanently and stay healthy.

I hope the facts above can help you to a slimmer self! If you have any more questions, please feel free to criticism below and I will try my best to write back those. Thank you for your time and wish you luck!
